August has come and gone. It was hotter than hot. There was a hurricane! And rain! And a smile. Local Altadena historian Elizabeth Pomeroy stopped by to say hello. She’s the smiling author of “Lost and Found II” a book chronicling the many sights and sounds of historic Altadena. Author Elizabeth, thanks for including a chapter featuring our very own Mountain View Cemetery.

May has come and gone and it was a wonderful month. Starting off the month we joined in a tribute to our best pal and best gal, our mom’s. Our first teacher. Our lifelong cheerleader. It was Mother’s Day. We were busy as ever with all the visitors paying their respects to Moms, Grandmoms and teachers, all the beloved mentors in our lives.
